Get to know Kelly

Kelly Straube is originally from Los Angeles, CA.  She moved to Tucson, Arizona 6 years ago to escape traffic and build a foundation to start a family. She attended El Camino College in Los Angeles and focused on accounting and marketing.

Kelly’s background stems in tax resolution where the firm she worked for helped businesses and individuals who had back owed taxes in amounts from $10,000 to $3 million due. She worked her way up in the office supporting the resolution department at first, then adding the tax department and finally handling cases, preparing audits and winning arguments. Her organization and attention to detail helps her to thrive in chaotic environments and dial into the tasks at hand to achieve the big picture.

Previously she worked as a partner and bookkeeper for Myhart Associates, Inc.  She is now the owner of Pink Abacus Bookkeeping which is a small firm focusing on independent contractors and small businesses serving Tucson and its surrounding areas.  

Kelly has lived all around the world including Chicago, Las Vegas and Naples, Italy.  She loves photography, cooking, gaming, art projects, gardening, hiking and puzzles of all kinds.  She has a pitbull named Vincent and a crazy kitty named Cassie.
